Hitomi Kubota, Yamamoto Ryoko and Miyano Moe 'it is as if we can see the future.'
Kubota, Ryoko and Moe are three of Masataka Kuroyanagi's art students.
As students they are very honoured to have had the opportunity to participate in the symposium. They found it an invaluable experience to view artists first hand interacting with a common sense of purpose.
The three students also stated that the Japanese scarcely recycle anything. They found the Dutch introduction to the theme of recycling a valuable experience: 'it is as if we can see the future.' They found it sad that their society throws away so much with scant regard for nature. They plead for people to have more respect for and interaction with the environment.
With their artwork they have tried to show us the many opportunities for recycling. They have incorporated used Japanese kimonos, fans and packages of milk. Moreover they have prepared their own paint.
