Noriko Yida'a cyclical process of material creates art.'
After a good 25 years of creating art, this is the first time that Yida has been confronted with recycling. For the 'Recycle Art' project she has let herself be inspired by the Dutch country and the materials that she has found around her.
The themes of printing techniques and femininity run throughout her art. All forms of art that she has created have grown out of these fundamentals. For her piece 'Circulation of material' she has beaten an old plate of plastic with a driving punch, thereby making forms.
By putting the object outside in a sunlit setting, the changing light, gives the artwork an added dimension.
Recycling has now inspired her to re-use printing plates to create art.
