Wijsman believes that everything is linked and that there is nothing new under the sun. Everything that he creates has to do with recycling….renaissance. He uses any material which crosses his path. The important thing is that it appeals to him. Even more important to him, is how other people perceive it. He feels that the personal story of the artist does not matter. The artwork has to be self-evident. He feels he has succeeded if he generates a reaction in people, whether positive or negative.
'Each start is a finish and reverse. It doesn't matter what the beginning and the end are; it is more interesting to know where is the tap.'
